PLEASANTON POLICE BUSINESS PRESENTATIONS

The City of Pleasanton Police Department invites you to learn more about two important programs they are offering: Hide It, Lock It, or Lose It and Active Shooter. Hacienda facilities and property managers are encouraged to take advantage of these presentations to learn more about these relevant issues.

Hide It, Lock It, or Lose It

The Pleasanton Police Department is launching a new crime prevention campaign aimed at reducing the number of preventable property crimes in the city. Thefts from unlocked vehicles and burglaries in which items were left in plain view required 2,220 hours of police resources in 2013 at a cost to taxpayers of well over $250,000. "Hide It, Lock It, or Lose It" focuses on reminding those who live, work or play in Pleasanton to remove all items from a vehicle before parking and, if that is not possible, to stow items out of sight before parking and always locking your vehicle. Learn more about this campaign and how you can get the message out to your employees.

Active Shooter

What is an Active Shooter? What should I do if an active shooter event occurs in my workplace, school or at a shopping mall I am attending? The Pleasanton Police Department will be providing a presentation to answer these questions and provide information on how to prepare for and react to these violent situations including response recommendations should this happen in our community. A question and answer session will follow the presentation. This presentation will include a short video which depicts recommendations for a citizen response to an active shooter situation including incidents in the workplace.
