BAY AREA AIR QUALITY MANAGEMENT DISTRICT CLEAN FLEETS INCENTIVE PROGRAM

The Bay Area Air Quality Management District (Air District) is pleased to announce the application period for the 2019 Clean Fleets Program is currently open. The Clean Fleets Program is an opportunity to apply for funding to purchase, or lease, light-duty zero-emissions vehicles (ZEVs) in high-mileage fleets operating in the Bay Area. The Air District is tasked with regulating stationary sources of air pollution in the nine counties that surround San Francisco Bay: Alameda, Contra Costa, Marin, Napa, San Francisco, San Mateo, Santa Clara, southwestern Solano, and southern Sonoma counties.

Clean Fleets Program

The Clean Fleets Program is an incentive program that offers grant funding to help offset a portion of the cost of purchasing or leasing new light-duty zero-emissions vehicles for fleets that operate within the Air District's jurisdiction. In fiscal year ending 2019, up to $5 million is available and will be awarded to qualifying projects on a first-come, first-served basis. Applications for these grants will be accepted until 4:00 pm on January 31, 2019. This program is funded through the Air District's Transportation Fund for Clean Air Regional Fund, which provides grants to improve air quality within the nine-county Bay Area by reducing emissions of criteria pollutants from on-road vehicles. For a full list of eligibility requirements, please see the Clean Fleets Program description page here: www.baaqmd.gov/grant-funding/businesses-and-fleets/light-duty-pev-program.
