EMPLOYER COMMUTE MANAGEMENT SURVEY

The need for convenient, fast and reliable access to work has never been greater. Fortunately, there are a wide variety of programs available to help employers and employees arrive at commute solutions using what is called Transportation Demand Management (TDM). TDM encompasses the broad range of strategies to help improve commuting utilizing transit, ridesharing, biking and walking, tax benefits, free emergency rides and more. Because TDM strategies frequently produce air quality benefits, regional Spare the Air Resource Teams are working to help employers learn about, and implement, TDM best practices.

Your Assistance Can Help

The Tri-Valley Spare the Air Resource Team would like to ask your help through participation in a benchmarking survey. The survey data will assist the Spare the Air Resource Teams in their ongoing work to develop relevant projects to support employers in their TDM efforts within each Bay Area county. Responses from participating employers will be collated into a final report which will be provided to all participants who express interest in receiving a copy. Individual participant responses will be kept confidential and the final report will not include your name or your organization's name.

Taking the Survey

The survey can be found at the following location: www.surveymonkey.com/r/SpareTheAir. Participants who provide their contact information will also be entered into a random drawing for $50 or $100 gift cards to one of the following: Wente Vineyards, Coco Cabana, Blue Agave Club, Campo Di Bocce, Market Tavern, Mixt or The Lot at City Center. Your contact information will only be used for purposes of selecting prize recipients and to share a copy of the final report, and will not be reflected within the body of the report. Participants may find it helpful to collect some background information, to the extent it is available, prior to conducting the survey as follows:

  • general worksite information;

  • existing commuter program information;

  • employee commute patterns and commute preferences; and

  • assessments of current programs.
