Hyland Announces a Wealth of Product Enhancements

Hyland provides industry-leading intelligent content solutions that are trusted by thousands of organizations worldwide, including more than half of the Fortune 100. The company’s solutions connect systems and manage high volumes of diverse content to improve, accelerate, and automate processes and workflows. In late March, Hyland announced its latest product enhancements. They include key updates to enterprise platforms OnBase, Alfresco, and Perceptive Content.

“Every business deals with some form of content, and we continue to innovate to turn our customers’ content into intelligent, meaningful insights and actionable feedback,” according to Leonard Kim, Hyland’s Chief Product Officer.

For the Alfresco platform, Hyland sought to increase operational efficiencies and support increased scalability requirements to meet today’s demanding enterprise IT requirements, while reducing the environmental impact of operating solutions within the platform. Improvements include simplified upgrade pathways; simplified Alfresco cloud deployment and administration; pre-configured processes to address standard workflows, such as review and approval; and user experience improvements that streamline both content-centric process creation and execution.

The latest updates to OnBase also focus on an improved user experience, with easier access to accessibility features and new capabilities related to configuring change management for administrators. Additional updates include Workflow Messaging, a no-code tool that enhances integration support by adding XML message handling to Workflow. The tool provides a rich integration environment for OnBase integrators.

The latest enhancements to Perceptive Content strengthen platform security and optimize customer processes, including re-platforming all previously existing core applications within Perceptive Experience Content Apps, support for the latest versions of required third-party updates, platform updates that result in lower costs and easier maintenance, and a highly requested LearnMode update, allowing integration with browser-delivered applications.

Accounts payable automation solutions were also improved, with a focus on even greater automation capability. They include AP Processing Rules, which provide additional automation capabilities through a set of configurable rules that help reduce data entry on non-PO invoices; AP Invoice Approval App 3.1, which provides increased access to invoice information through a view-only license; and ReqConnect for Deltek Costpoint, a key integration that displays the fields needed to ensure requisition forms are created, routed, reviewed, and approved accurately and efficiently.

Hyland Healthcare continues to support thousands of providers across the world. Recent key updates include Cloud fax integration for etherFAX, which provides secure electronic delivery of content to OnBase for indexing and use within the electronic health record (EHR) workflow, eliminating lost time managing data transfer and providing a secure, cost-effective, and compliant solution that protects health information. A new Clinician Complete and Return solution enables health information management staff to assign, route, check status, and escalate records for clinician review, acknowledgement, annotation, and signature. The new Hyland Insurance Card Extraction feature delivers AI-powered insurance card capture, intelligent data extraction technology, and EHR integration to help health systems reliably improve the accuracy and efficiency of insurance eligibility checking.

The company, a Hacienda tenant since January 2011, has earned the 2024 Military Friendly Employer Designation. Forbes also recognized Hyland by including it on the Forbes list of The Best Employers for Women 2023. The company has also received three “Top Rated” awards from TrustRadius, which provides a review-based decisioning platform for technology buyers.
