Blaze new trails in 2001 by exploring some of the 55 parklands of the East Bay Regional Park District. Two exciting outdoor programs are offered for your consideration.

May Marathon

Enjoy the outdoors while challenging yourself to hike, ride, or skate a total of 26 miles during the month of May. The 26 miles must be completed by May 31st and can be done with any combination of featured trails. The cost is $12 per person and participants will receive a t-shirt and commemorative pin to mark their success. Registration materials are available from the EBRPD. The deadline for registration for this event is May 21, 2001.

Trails Challenge

The Trails Challenge is a special program allowing participants to explore some of the 55 parklands of the East Bay Regional Park District. The entry cost is $5 per person and the deadline for registration is August 31, 2001. Each registered challenger will receive the 2001 Challenge guidebook and trail log sheet. The guidebook contains 19 featured trails, including maps and trail descriptions. The program invites participants to hike, ride, run or skate any of the trails with the challenge to complete five or more of the featured trails. Guidebooks will be sent upon registration. The Trails Challenge ends on December 14, 2001.
