Pleasanton's First Annual Poetry and Arts Festival will take place on Saturday June 1, 2002. The entire slate of arts activities will take place at the CarrAmerica Conference Center located at 4400 Rosewood Drive in Hacienda.
The day will include poetry workshops by distinguished poets, a fiction seminar, special youth workshops, and poetry readings. From 1:00 - 6:15 pm, a variety of poetry and arts activities will be free and open to the public. Tickets for the entire festival, including workshops, are $65.
At 6:15 pm, a buffet dinner will be provided on the premises. The dinner is included in the conference package and is also open to the public. Tickets that include the buffet dinner and the evening poetry reading by workshop instructors are $40 and must be reserved by May 28.
The Festival finale will be a Poetry Reading by Kim Addonizio, Lynne Knight and Susan Wooldridge from 7:30 - 9:00 pm. Tickets to the poetry reading are only $10 and may be purchased at the door.
