Try Vanpooling! Ridesharing is a great way to beat traffic congestion on the way to work, reduce auto emissions and cut commute costs. To get you started, you will receive half-off your vanpool fare for the first six months with a Contra Costa County origin and/or destination (while funding lasts).

Travel Greener with 511's Vanpool Incentive Program

Whether joining an existing vanpool or starting a new one, 511 Contra Costa is offering two great incentives for people who either live or work in Contra Costa County:

• New Passengers - If you are a new passenger, simply submit your application and waiver of liability within 3 months of vanpooling and receive 50% off your vanpool fare for the first three months. If you continue to ride the vanpool, you are eligible to receive another 50% off your vanpool fare for an additional three months.

• New Vanpools - If you are interested in starting a new vanpool and you stay on the road for one year with a minimum of 6 passengers you are eligible for a $1,000 bonus.
