L. Hunter Lovins, coauthor of the bestselling Natural Capitalism will be speaking about her new book, Climate Capitalism, at the Firehouse Arts Center on May 16th. Dubbed by Newsweek as a "Green Business Icon" and named by Time Magazine the "Hero of the Planet," Hunter Lovins is an internationally acclaimed author, keynote speaker and educator.
In L. Hunter Lovins most recent work, Climate Capitalism, the business case for sustainability is made: "You don't have to believe in the problem to believe in the solution." At the lecture, entrepreneurs, environmentalists, and concerned citizens alike will discover profitable ideas and hear tangible examples of early adopters across the globe who see that the low-carbon economy leads to increased profits and economic growth.
The lecture, in support of the City of Pleasanton's sustainability initiatives, is being held on Monday, May 16, 2011 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the Firehouse Arts Center. A book signing for Climate Capitalism will follow the lecture. The event is free of charge but tickets are required for admission. Click here to reserve your tickets for this free event.
