You are invited to join the East Bay EDA members and partners at their upcoming East Bay Workforce Summit on December 18th. Employers, educators, workforce development professionals, labor leaders and policy makers are all encouraged to attend.

Building a Vibrant East Bay Economy

The East Bay Workforce Summit is being held on Tuesday, December 18th from 8 am to 2 pm at Berkeley City College located at 2050 Center Street in Berkeley. Join the conversation about how economic growth in the East Bay can be enhanced through more effective connections between the business community and education and workforce preparation organizations at every level. Attend this free Summit and: Hear from three "best practice" regions about how industry drives and helps organize regional workforce development strategies and investment in key industry sectors;

  • Join in focused, business-led conversations with local business, education, and policy leaders about applying best practices in the East Bay to better prepare a skilled workforce and enhance our region's economic competitiveness;

  • Be part of a dialogue between industry leaders, educators and state officials - including Kish Rajan, Director of the Governor's Office of Business & Economic Development (GO-Biz) - that put the East Bay's innovative new thinking in a larger context.
