The American Cancer Society will host the Relay For Life, a fun-filled 24 hour relay that takes place nationwide to help raise awareness and fund research for cancer. The Relay For Life unites millions of people in thousands of communities nationwide each year to generate money to help prevent cancer, save lives, and diminish suffering from the disease. Join in this 24 hour celebration of hope and walk in the Relay For Life.

Local Relay For Life Events

The Livermore Relay For Life will be held at Livermore High School located at 600 Maple Street on June 21-22. For the Livermore event, refer to www.relayforlife.org/livermoreca. The Pleasanton Relay For Life will be held at Pleasanton Middle School located at 5001 Case Avenue on July 19-20. For the Pleasanton event, refer to www.relayforlife.org/pleasantonca. The Dublin Relay for Life will be held at Fallon Middle School at 3601 Kohnen Way on August 2-3. For the Dublin event, refer to www.relayforlife.org/dublinca. All Relay For Life events begin at 9:00 am and end with closing ceremonies the following morning. There will be entertainment, food, games and activities for participants throughout the event.

Participation

The goal of the Relay for Life is to get teams of friends, businesses, service organizations and more to raise funds for cancer research by walking or running around the event track. At least one person from each team will be on the track during the 24 hour event. There are many ways to participate in the Relay For Life. You can volunteer your services, join an existing team, start a new team, sponsor a walker or make a donation online.
