Start carpooling and start enjoying your commute. 511 works with thousands of Bay Area employers by offering free commute assistance and information on alternatives to driving alone.

Summer Carpool Challenge

511's Summer Carpool Challenge is about to get underway. Sign up now and track your commute in August for a chance to win a visit from the El Tonayense taco truck to serve free tacos at your workplace! Get your coworkers to register, too, because the Bay Area employer with the most carpoolers tracking 15 trips in their 511 Trip Diary this August will win the taco truck visit, sponsored by 511. Even if there are not a lot of carpoolers at your work, you can still win. Registered carpoolers tracking three or more trips a week have a chance to score Peet's Coffee & Tea gift cards for their entire carpool. To increase your chances of winning, encourage your coworkers and carpool members to register!

Participation

Participation is easy. Simply form a carpool team of 2 or more and complete a registration form at: www.rideshare.511.org/survey/CarpoolReg/. Then log your carpool trips weekly in your Trip Diary, located in your 511 RideMatch account. If you need an account, register at: www.rideshare.511.org/. If you need help registering for a 511 RideMatch account, or with using the online Trip Diary, call 511 and say "Rideshare" and ask for a Rideshare Operator.
