The Tri-Valley Spare the Air Resource Team presents "Idle Free Tri-Valley"; a new program to help create cleaner air around the community. The Tri-Valley Spare the Air Resource Team is part of the Bay Area Air Quality Management District's community outreach effort where volunteers come together to develop and implement projects to improve local air quality.
You can save money, reduce air pollution, and help everyone breathe easier just by turning a key! Turn off your car engine if you will be sitting for more than 30 seconds; such as at the car wash, a drive-thru or pick-up spot. Reducing idling will save you gas and money, and will help Spare the Air! Sign the online pledge at www.idlefreetrivalley.org for entry into a monthly drawing to win a $10.00 Starbucks card. The Idle Free pledge states that you will turn off your vehicle while waiting in your car for more than 30 seconds. Join us all year round to reduce idling and help Spare the Air in the East Bay.
