Produced by Make A Difference, Today & Always, a 501(C)3 non-profit, the event is co-sponsored by the City of Pleasanton, the Community of Character Coalition, and ACCUSPLIT Make A Difference Projects, invite you to join them at the Make a Difference for Pleasanton Festival on January 18, 2016. The event is free of charge and will focus on local volunteering and service opportunities for the community.

Make a Difference

On Saturday, January 18, 2016 the public is invited to the free Make a Difference for Pleasanton Festival being held from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm at the Pleasanton Library in the Community Room. More than two dozen non-profit organizations will have booths set up with information on how you can "Get Connected & Stay Connected" with your community through volunteer service for adults, families, and teenagers.

Event Features

The festival will include dozens of booths for local organizations. A complete list of participating organizations can be found at: www.MakeADifferenceForPleasanton.org. Visitors will be encouraged to sign the "50/50 Pledge": "I pledge to spend at least 50 hours in community service, and to spend 50 more hours with my family in the next year." They can also sign the historic banner from the very first local Make A Difference Festivals, which were sponsored by the Pleasanton Unified School District and included many other organizations in the 1990s. The festival is free of charge, as is the parking at the city library. All are welcome.
