The Caledonian Club of San Francisco will hold its 151st Annual Scottish Highland Gathering & Games over the Labor Day weekend in Pleasanton. These Games are the largest in North America, and feature World Heavy Events Championships, the US Drum Major Championships, as well as the Western U.S. Open Highland Dancing Championships.
The 151st Annual Scottish Highland Gathering & Games will be held Labor Day weekend, September 3rd & 4th, 2016. The games will be held at the Alameda County Fairgrounds in Pleasanton. Opening ceremonies will be conducted in front of the main grandstands on both days. Advance discount tickets can be purchased in person until August 30, 2016 at Keith's Autobahn, 6398 Dougherty Road, Suite 23, Dublin.
Enjoy a plethora of cultural and entertainment activities at this annual event. Festivities include music, sporting events, Highland dancing, living history re-enactments, birds of prey demonstrations, sheep dog trials, gathering of the clans, heavy event competitions, ethnic Scottish/British and American food and much more. Be sure to catch the pipe band and drumming competitions.
