Meals on Wheels of Alameda County invites you, and your family and friends, to join them for their 15th Annual Taste Event. The mission of Meals on Wheels is to assist frail, homebound seniors so that they can maintain their independence. Through fundraising, financial support, community outreach, and strategic assistance, Meals on Wheels programs in Alameda County are able to deliver nutritious meals and perform wellness checks.

Taste 2017 Event Details

Join Meals on Wheels on Saturday, June 17 at Oakland's Paramount Theatre to celebrate 30 years of nourishing seniors in Alameda County. Guests will enjoy dinner prepared by top-notch Bay Area restaurants served with exceptional wines. Attendees will also be able to bid on one-of-a-kind live and silent auction items and enjoy special event entertainment. All of this event's auction proceeds will go to feeding Alameda County's seniors in need. Meals on Wheels

Meals on Wheels of Alameda County was founded in 1987 (as Countymeals-on-Wheels) and is a non-profit 501(c)(3), governed by a Board of Directors and administered by an Executive Director. Meals on Wheels of Alameda County serves as an umbrella organization to the five independent Meals on Wheels delivery programs throughout the county, which prepare and deliver nearly 2,200 meals to homebound seniors every delivery day, and more than 500,000 meals annually.
