The Caledonian Club of San Francisco will hold its 152nd Annual Scottish Highland Gathering and Games over the Labor Day weekend in Pleasanton. These Annual Scottish Highland Gathering and Games are the largest in North America and feature World Heavy Events Championships, the US Drum Major Championships, as well as the Western U.S. Open Highland Dancing Championships.

A Grand Labor Day Weekend Event

The 152nd Annual Scottish Highland Gathering and Games will be held Labor Day weekend, September 2nd and 3rd, 2017. The games will be held at the Alameda County Fairgrounds at 4501 Pleasanton Avenue in Pleasanton. Opening ceremonies will be conducted in front of the main grandstand on both days.

Event Highlights

Enjoy a plethora of cultural and entertainment activities at this annual event. Festivities include music, sporting events, Highland dancing, living history re-enactments, birds of prey demonstrations, sheep dog trials, gathering of the clans, heavy event competitions, ethnic Scottish/British and American food and much more. Be sure to catch the pipe band and drumming competitions.

Purchasing Tickets

Advance discount tickets can be purchased in person until August 30, 2017 at Keith's Autobahn, 6398 Dougherty Road, Suite 23, Dublin. Please note that tickets for the Whisky Tasting, Grandstand Shows, and Trackside Terrace do not include the price of entry into the games. Ticket prices range from $11.00 - $35.00 and can be purchased at: www.thescottishgames.com/Tickets2017.php. Children under 12 years of age and Active Military (with ID) will receive complimentary admissions.
