TRI-VALLEY YOUTH EXPO

The 2018 Tri-Valley Youth Expo will be the region's first-ever exposition of youth art, music, coding, and culture. Join other Tri-Valley you in a variety of activities and events including a 12-hour hackathon, a "Battle of the Bands," a dance showcase, and an arts showcase with a live art section as well. The 2018 Tri-Valley Youth Expo aims to capture the very essence of being a part of the Tri-Valley youth community: creativity, innovation, and, above all, passion.

Expo Hacks

Expo Hacks is a high school hackathon; a 12 hour programming event where students work in teams to make various software projects. This event will be held on Saturday, May 19, 2018 from 8:00 am - 8:00 pm in the Dublin High School Gym, 8151 Village Parkway in Dublin, and is open to any high school student. When the hackathon starts feel free to design, code, and build anything you want! There will be a session at the beginning of the hackathon for participants to meet others and form teams. Each team may have a maximum of four people. Applications and additional information are available at: trivalleyyouthexpo.com/hackathon.html. Day-of registration is available, and can be performed at 8:00 am outside the gym doors. Opening ceremonies will be at 8:30 am, and hacking will begin at 9:00 am. Lunch is provided at 12:30 pm and judging will occur at 6:00 pm with winners announced at 7:30 pm. Top prizes include a internship at TechHive, and a 10 week paid internship at EllieMae. Other prizes include, but are not limited to, Oculus Rifts, Arduinos, and Drones. The first 40 people to sign up will also receive a free portable charger.

Battle of the Bands | Dance/Art Showcase

The Teen Culture Component of the Tri-Valley Youth Expo consists of a Battle of the Bands competition along with a Dance/Art Showcase. The Battle of the Bands and Dance/Art Showcase will be held on Saturday, May 19, 2018 from 3:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Emerald Glen Park, 4201 Central Parkway in Dublin. Additional details are available at: trivalleyyouthexpo.com/index.html. The Battle of the Bands is currently at maximum capacity for entries. However, there is still room open for the arts display.
