This summer you can participate in a Fun Run from home! Pick your own trail and choose to race a 5K or 1 Mile course. This is a race for all athletic abilities and ages to benefit Sunflower Hill, a nonprofit organization dedicated to developing independent living residential communities, and creating vocational enrichment and life skills programs, for adults with developmental disabilities.

Choose Your Own Trail

The Alameda County Fair has been continuously running for 108 years but will look a little different this year. As part of that change, the Fun Run event for 2020 has been re-imagined to accommodate current health requirements resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic. This year participants get to create their own race; however they see fit. Fun Run entrants simply choose a day and time to run between June 19th and June 28th, decide whether to run or walk, and select a 5K or 1 mile on their own trail.

Registration

Race registration and information can be found online at www.alamedacountyfair.com/suns-out-funs-out-5k-run/. Registration fees are $25 per adult and $10 per youth. In addition to helping support a great cause, registration includes one free admission ticket to the 2021 Alameda County Fair, a downloadable Race Bib, a downloadable Finisher Certificate, and online access to crafts including making your own medal!
