2021 PLEASANTON HOLIDAY EVENTS

The holiday season is here and one great place to spend them is in Pleasanton’s picturesque downtown. Thanks to the combined efforts of the Pleasanton Downtown Association and the City of Pleasanton, there are a number of events during the season which help provide that special holiday feeling for everyone.

Shop Small - Support Local

The Pleasanton Downtown Association (PDA), in partnership with the City of Pleasanton, has launched the Shop Small - Support Local campaign to encourage people to shop, dine and visit local this holiday season. For every $1 spent at a small business, $0.67 stays in the community. Shop Small – Support Local is a celebration of Pleasanton’s small businesses, ranging from retail stores and restaurants to fitness studios, salons, and everything in between. Pleasanton Downtown merchants will be distributing a limited number of commemorative custom Pleasanton totes for shoppers to enjoy with their purchase. Visit www.pleasantondowntown.net for participating locations to receive totes with purchase, special offers, and more! Special offers and deals from downtown businesses are also featured throughout PDA’s social media on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter. Small Business Saturday, a nationwide celebration that was founded by American Express over 10 years ago, will take place on Saturday, November 27th this year. Now more than ever, supporting small businesses, who provide such valuable and distinct contributions to the community and local economy, makes a real difference!

Hometown Holiday Celebration

The City of Pleasanton welcomes the entire community for their annual Hometown Holiday Celebration on Saturday, December 4, from 3:30 - 7:30 pm. This event features the Hometown Holiday Parade, an annual community favorite, at 5:00 pm which includes all the elements that make parades so much fun: floats, marching bands, community groups, and more. Following the parade’s conclusion at approximately 6:45 pm, a tree lighting ceremony featuring live music, Pleasanton Mayor Karla Brown, and Santa Claus himself, will take place at the Pleasanton arch on Main Street in front of Museum on Main.
