Join the Tri-Valley Anti-Poverty Collaborative for an important discussion on changing the dynamics of poverty in the Tri-Valley. The Tri-Valley Anti-Poverty Collaborative (TVAPC) is a special project of the Tri-Valley Nonprofit Alliance. Commenced in 2013, TVAPC has been dedicated to eliminating poverty in the Tri-Valley, and addressing the often hidden characteristics and causes of poverty in suburban areas. TVAPC promotes increased equity in the Tri-Valley community by sharing information, creating connections, and providing education.
On Thursday, May 2, 2024, the Tri-Valley Nonprofit Alliance's TVAPC initiative invites the entire community to their first Anti-Poverty Collaborative program of 2024, the "State of Housing for Vulnerable Populations in the Tri-Valley", at the Bankhead Theater, 2400 First Street, Livermore. The program will address the urgent need for housing solutions for seniors, transitioned-age youth, homeless and the nearly homeless. Following the lead discussion, a panel of local nonprofit leaders including CityServe of the Tri-Valley, Open Heart Kitchen, Interfaith Housing, and Goodness Village will share insights on current trends, successful strategies, and ongoing community needs. This TVAPC event is a call to action for all stakeholders to join forces in the fight against poverty and homelessness in the region.
While there is no cost for general admission, registration is required. To register, please visit: www.trivalleynonprofitalliance-bloom.kindful.com/e/tvnpa-anti-poverty-collaborative-?blm_aid=2388993.
