Public transit is essential to thriving cities and the people who make those cities special. Bay Area transit agencies in partnership with the Metropolitan Transportation Commission (MTC) are encouraging residents to ride transit on All Aboard Bay Area Transit day! MTC and Bay Area transit agencies share and coordiante various projects to improve transit and mobility options for the entire region.
All Aboard Bay Area Transit Day will be held on Tuesday, September 23rd. Everyone is encouraged to get out and ride transit – or perhaps try it for the first time! Transit agencies all over the Bay Area and Tri-Valley will offer free stickers and other swag items to riders throughout the day to thank them for riding, while also soliciting their feedback. Local transit agencies will also showcase their improved services and customer experiences.
This event is part of the month-long Transit Month celebration. Transit connects communities, increases mobility, maintains a healthy environment, and opens opportunities to discover something new. Visit www.sftransitriders.org/transitmonth/ to register for events for Bay Area Transit Month. Every ride you take on public transit run by a Bay Area transit agency earns another entry into a Transit Month raffle. Riders may track their rides to earn badges, win prizes, compete against friends, and show your love for transit!
