160TH SCOTTISH HIGHLAND GATHERING & GAMES
The Caledonian Club of San Francisco will hold its 160th Annual Scottish Highland Gathering and Games over the Labor Day weekend in Pleasanton. A Bay Area tradition since 1866, California's largest and longest-running Scottish Games celebrates the very best of Scottish competition, culture and entertainment for all the family to enjoy. These Annual Scottish Highland Gathering and Games are among the largest in North America and feature the 2026 Womens World and the US Men's and Women's Heavy Athletics Championships, as well as Highland Dancing, Piping and Drumming, and Soccer competitions, and a fun Kilted Mile race.
A Grand Labor Day Weekend Event
The 160th Annual Scottish Highland Gathering and Games will be held for two days on Labor Day weekend, September 5 and September 6, 2026. The games will be hosted at the Alameda County Fairgrounds located at 4501 Pleasanton Avenue in Pleasanton with a buffet style lunch served at the Trackside Terrace and an optional Wiskey Tasting for guests ages 21 +. Opening and Closing ceremonies will be conducted in front of the main grandstand on both days.

Enjoy all the festivities including music, sporting events, Highland dancing, living history re-enactments, birds of prey demonstrations, sheep dog trials, gathering of the clans, heavy event competitions, ethnic Scottish/British and American food and much more. Be sure to catch the highly anticipated pipe band and drumming competitions. The Grandstand Show features special performances by guest bands, the 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing Band, and the LA Scots Pipe Band, as well as the iconic Massed Bands finale.
