Las Positas College (LPC) in partnership with Tri-Valley Nonprofit Alliance, and Livermore Chamber of Commerce, invites you to the Las Positas College Run for Higher Education. This signature community event is a great way to engage with the Tri-Valley community while promoting health, wellness, and education! Las Positas College offers curriculum for students seeking career preparation, transfer to a four-year college or university, or personal enrichment. Las Positas College is a learning-centered institution focused on excellence and student success, and is fully committed to supporting all Tri-Valley residents in their quest for education and advancement.

Run for Higher Education

The Run for Higher Education race is being held at 9:00 am on Sunday, April 25, 2026, on the Las Positas College campus at the Mertes Center for the Arts, Building 4000, 3000 Campus Hill Drive, in Livermore and extends through a scenic course. This race will offer a rewarding challenge for runners and a leisurely route for walkers, suitable for all ages and fitness levels. Participants will receive a race t-shirt and event bag, and medals will be awarded to top finishers.

Las Positas Marketplace Celebration

The LPC Marketplace Celebration will follow the run event from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm. During the event, a live DJ will play music, and attendees can visit booths hosted by local businesses and vendors.

Run Registration

Complete course information, entrance fees and registration details are available online. Race entry fees range from $15 - $30. All proceeds from the event will go toward student and wellness programs, reinforcing LPC’s commitment to lifelong learning and well-being. Participants will designate a local non-profit they wish to support with their registration fee
