The Pleasanton Partnerships in Education Foundation (PPIE) invites you to join them for the 2026 Pleasanton Run for Education. This signature community event is a great way to join with thousands of fellow walkers and runners to raise funds that help support Pleasanton schools! For over 25 years, PPIE has worked to enhance education throughout the Pleasanton Unified School District through a partnership of business, education and community. PPIE raises funds to support critical programs and to fund projects enhancing educational excellence for all students.

Run for Pleasanton Schools

This year's 14th annual Run for Education race presented by Workday is being held on Sunday, April 19, 2026, and both starts and ends at Pleasanton Middle School, 5001 Case Avenue in Pleasanton. Several race options are available with a route distance for everyone! Races include a 5K course (3.1 miles), 10K course (6.2 miles), Run or Walk (2 miles) and Kids Challenge (1/4 Mile). The 10K event starts at 8:00 am and is geared towards runners, is stroller-friendly, and entrants have 1 hour 45 minutes to complete the course. The 2 Mile and  5K events start at 8:10 and 8:15 am, and the Kids Challenge starts at 9:20 am and features a 0.5K course (0.25 miles). Run Registration

Complete course information, entrance fees and registration details are available online. Race entry fees range from $27.50 - $54.00. Pleasanton Unified School District employees are eligible for a special reduced-rate entry. PPIE will receive 100% of the proceeds raised at this event.

Volunteers Welcome

PPIE would welcome your participation as a volunteer Course Marshal along the race routes with volunteering times ranging from approximately 5:30 to 9:45 am. You must be age 18 or older to volunteer, and can also participate alongside a buddy. Help direct the runners and walkers to ensure they stay on course and, in the process, cheer them on as they travel past your location!
