Join Tri-Valley Nonprofit Alliance's Anti-Poverty Collaborative for their House of Cards event. This important community event will  focus on connection, education, and action with regional organizations working to turn housing instability into housing stability in the Tri-Valley region. This conversation continues a series of presentations on ending poverty in the Tri-Valley. Established in 2014, the Tri-Valley Nonprofit Alliance (TVNPA) serves community organizations throughout the San Francisco Bay Area. TVNPA offers regular opportunities to meet and collaborate with peers to enhance and grow the skills and talents of the dedicated people who work and volunteer in the nonprofit sector. TVNPA is also the creator of the Tri-Valley Fund; which provides support to nonprofit organizations in the region through quarterly granting.

Event Details

Everyone in the Tri-Valley community is invited to attend this free event on Friday, October 2, 2026 from 9:30 am to 12:00 pm at the Patelco Headquarters, Conference Center, 3 Park Place, in Dublin. Doors open at 9:00 am for registration with the program following at 9:30 am.  

House of Cards

The House of Cards presentation will feature discussions addressing the ways in which housing instability can feel like living in a "house of cards" – a single gust, a single challenge, and the fragile framework collapses. Antendees will be able to hear from Amy Cole-Bloom, PhD, of Alameda County Health’s Housing and Homelessness Services, on the policy and systems-level work shaping the region’s response to the housing crisis. In addition, a panel of regional nonprofit leaders, from Housing Consortium of the East Bay, Goodness Village, Trinity Center, and City Serve, will share details on what is actually happening on the ground to address critical housing needs including: shelters, transitional housing and wraparound services turning crisis into stability for real families.
