1st United Credit Union has been selected as an official food donation location for the Alameda County Community Food Bank for a third year. As an official Alameda County Community Food Bank (ACCFB) Food Drive Sponsor, 1st United Credit Union has welcomed ACCFB food drive barrels at each of their nine offices throughout the county. ACCFB distributes millions of healthy meals every year and is on the forefront of new approaches to ending hunger and poverty. They partner with more than 420 food pantries, hot-meal programs, senior centers and other non-profits to distribute millions of pounds of food every year. 1st United Credit Union has a long history of service in the Bay Area. Founded in 1932 as City & County Employees' Credit Union, they were one of the first credit unions in the state. 1st United Credit Union is committed to improving the quality of life of their members and the communities they serve across the East Bay and Tri-Valley areas. They provide support to a wide variety of worthwhile educational and healthcare programs, and last year collected over 12,000 pounds of food!
