Pleasanton Business Expo 2002 Helps Businesses Make Connections

Getting to know your fellow Pleasanton business people can be a rewarding experience. In addition to being able to swap ideas pertaining to doing business in the community, it also gives you the opportunity to meet other business people in companies that are interested in your company's services.

If you're looking to get involved in the Pleasanton business community, you might be interested in attending or sponsoring Pleasanton Business Expo 2002, an annual fall tradeshow presented by the Pleasanton Chamber of Commerce and the City of Pleasanton.

The event will give you the opportunity to introduce yourself and your services to other fellow business owners in the community while familiarizing yourself with other business people, their services, and their wares. Pleasanton Business Expo 2002 will be held from 4 to 8 pm at the CarrAmerica Conference Center, 4400 Rosewood Drive in Pleasanton.

The focus of this event is "Celebrating Community Connections" and the positive impact that business has on the community. The program will feature City Manager Deborah Acosta McKeehan. The featured keynote speaker will be Richard D. King, 2001-02 President of Rotary International.

"The Pleasanton Chamber of Commerce is pleased to join with the City of Pleasanton for Pleasanton Business Expo 2002," says David Bouchard, president and CEO of the Pleasanton Chamber of Commerce. "Our theme this year, 'Celebrating Community Connections,' was developed to enhance the image of business within the community. We'll spend the day pointing out the many contributions businesses make in the Tri-Valley in terms of taxes paid, charitable contributions made, volunteer involvement, and the like. We believe it's critical to note that the vast majority of businesses and business people make a very positive contribution to their communities."

Pleasanton Garbage Service has signed on as a major sponsor of the event, and contributing sponsors include the Tri-Valley Herald, Allegra Print and Imaging, Gateway Country, CarrAmerica Conference Center, Studio Blue Reprographics, Pleasanton Weekly, The Independent, ICV Digital Media, The East Bay Business Times, and Classic Fare Catering. For more information about Pleasanton Business Expo 2002, contact Gina Hodges at the Pleasanton Chamber of Commerce at (925) 846-5858 or via email at .
