The City of Pleasanton is proposing changes to water and sewer rates. A public hearing and informational workshops regarding the increases are being held in the upcoming month.

Notice of Public Hearing

The City of Pleasanton recently concluded comprehensive studies examining the operations of Pleasanton's water and sewer systems. Costs for these operations are billed through service charges and the studies indicate that increases are necessary to provide continued support to these city services. A public hearing on the proposed new rates and charges will be held on Tuesday, June 1, 2010 at 7:00 pm during the City Council meeting at 200 Old Bernal Avenue.

Informational Workshops

Two informational workshops are being held in May prior to the public hearing. These workshops will be conducted on Thursday, May 6th at 6:00 pm at the Operations Service Center, 3333 Busch Road in Pleasanton and on Thursday, May 20th at 7:00 pm at the Pleasanton Senior Center at 5353 Sunol Boulevard in Pleasanton. Submission of Comments or Protests

Written comments or protests may be offered at the June 1 public hearing, prior to the meeting by U.S. mail or other delivery service to City of Pleasanton, P.O. Box 520, Pleasanton, CA 94566, or by hand delivery to 3333 Busch Road, Pleasanton. Written protests must include the account holder's name and either the service address or the City of Pleasanton's water account number.
