The City of Pleasanton is conducting a preliminary assessment of interested participants in a free program that could potentially reduce your company's water use and save you money. The Large Landscape Auditing Support Services Program is co-sponsored by the Zone 7 Water Agency and provides a service to assist and educate business owners on irrigation and water conservation at no cost to the participant.

Landscape Audit

Under the program, a landscape audit will be provided along with an evaluation of your landscape irrigation system performance and a water use analysis. The goal is to provide you with: a report detailing your current system, a water budget for the property, a list of any issues and recommendations by zone, and cost estimates for implementing the recommendations for improvements which can increase your water and energy efficiency.

Participation Benefits

Participation in the audit program will then allow your site to become eligible for Zone 7's Efficient Irrigation Rebate Program. Through this rebate, applicants can receive up to 50% of total approved project costs, to a maximum of $5,000, to replace existing irrigation components with new efficient equipment and hardware.

Signal Your Interest

At this time, the City of Pleasanton is in the process of screening applications to determine the potential for participation. This is a pilot program dependent upon funding availability that is expected to commence later this year. Businesses should contact the City of Pleasanton if they are interested but cannot be guaranteed selection as a participant.
