511 Rideshare invites you to their upcoming workshop How Alternative Transportation Can Help "Existing Building" Owners Achieve LEED Certification on July 10th. 511 works with thousands of Bay Area employers by offering free commute assistance and information on alternatives to driving alone.
LEED, or Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design, is an internationally recognized mark of excellence and provides building owners and operators with a framework for identifying and implementing practical and measurable green building design, construction, operations and maintenance solutions. LEED for Existing Buildings, one of many LEED certifications, allows existing properties to distinguish themselves as having met a standard of environmental excellence. One of the components of LEED for Existing Building certification is alternative transportation. Carpools, vanpools and other related efforts can count for up to 15 of the necessary 40 points for becoming LEED Certified.
Come and learn how it works! 511 Rideshare, through the support of the Metropolitan Transportation Commission, is offering two informative workshops to lead you through the alternative transportation element of LEED Certification. The Pleasanton LEED Workshop is being held on Tuesday, July 10th from 8:30 am to 11:00 am at the City of Pleasanton located at 200 Old Bernal Road in Pleasanton. To participate, please RSVP at: https://rideshare.511.org/survey/LEEDworkshop/.
Additional information is available on the workshop as well as the many other programs and services offered by 511. Please refer to the 511 Rideshare Program contact below for details.
