"At our Hacienda location, we produce a majority of the food packaging work for Albertsons Companies. In addition to the on-shelf packaging work, we have added social media promotions to assist with the visibility of Albertsons Companies' Own Brands."
PureRED uses its Hacienda facility as a photography and video studio, primarily for food. "People are always fascinated with the effort that goes into food photography," notes Warren. "On a given food set, we will have a photographer, digital tech, food stylist, prop stylist, assistants, and post-production individuals. There are a variety of techniques to get the food looking great for photography. As one example, ice cream can be a challenge. If the ice cream is not the product being sold, our food stylist will create the ice cream from Crisco and powdered sugar, adding in color and any extras needed to achieve the desired look. If it's a product shot meant to appear on a container, we are required by law to photograph the actual product."
In addition to Albertsons, retail clients include Foster Farms, BevMo, and Dollar General. For its retail clients, the agency's services include "content management and data entry support to ensure timely and accurate representation of product descriptions, imagery, and promotional offer information." PureRED also offers data-driven and automated retail products. "We translate, organize, commoditize and centralize the data for products and promotional offers, creating a single source of truth," according to company officials. "We can then provide SKU-level data to syndicate to channels." PureRED also provides mobility, app, and website design and development to "deliver the content and scale that retailers need to reach busy consumers."
The agency has multiple locations across the United States; its head office is located in Atlanta, Georgia. PureRED moved to its most recent location at Hacienda in 2017. Today 40 employees work at the Hacienda studio, which was chosen to fit the agency's needs. "Hacienda provided a space that was modern, up to date, and had the flexibility to house a creative studio space," says Warren.
