Get Connected with Hacienda's 2012 Transit Directory

One of the great benefits of Hacienda's location is the large number of transit agencies that serve the park. Commuters from almost any direction can find an easy alternative to driving to work, whether they're coming from San Francisco, San Jose, San Ramon or Stockton. In addition, Hacienda employees and residents can even ride local WHEELS buses for free with a Hacienda EcoPass, available online at www.hacienda.org/tenants/tenants_commute_pass.html. Whether you prefer to travel by bus or by train - both BART and the Altamont Commuter Express (ACE) offer an opportunity to ride the rails - you will find options to satisfy most commuters.

If mass transit isn't practical or convenient, you can also explore carpool and vanpool opportunities. With over 20,000 people living and working in Hacienda, chances are good that you can find people willing to share a ride, and the growing number of high-occupancy vehicle lanes on Bay Area freeways means you'll be able to save on travel time as well. Cyclists benefit, too, from Hacienda's easy access from nearby communities as well as both the park's bike lanes on all major thoroughfares and its ancillary bike paths.

This special map and directory of Tri-Valley services will help you keep track of all the options. A downloadable version of the map is available at www.hacienda.org/resources/tvtransportguide.html.
