HACIENDA SEES STRONG OFFICE ACTIVITY IN FIRST QUARTER OF 2015

PLEASANTON, Calif. — Hacienda is reporting a strong period of activity during the first quarter of 2015 with net absorption of over 185,000 square feet. While occupancy varied somewhat across the flex and retail sectors, several new tenants were added to the office sector producing a corresponding reduction in office vacancy of nearly 4%. The park is the largest mixed-use development of its kind in Northern California.

"Hacienda continued to see solid improvement in occupancy in the office sector in the first three months of the year" said James Paxson, Hacienda's general manager. "All of the recent reports relating to economic gains in the East Bay are reflected in the business growth seen in Hacienda during the first quarter. Activity reflects not only the expansion of existing tenants but the arrival of new tenants both from within and outside of the region. "

Several notable leasing transactions occurred during the first quarter. Tenant commitments were made by companies in a variety of business segments, including: Ichen Art Academy (tutoring), Cardio Barre (fitness), Markel Service (insurance), National Budget Planners (financial), and SmartZip (Real Estate Services).
