PLEASANTON, Calif. — Hacienda is reporting a solid first half of 2016 with strong tenant activity. Nearly 339,000 square feet of transactions occurred in Hacienda during the first half of the year improving net absorption by around 95,000 square feet. The park is the largest mixed-use development of its kind in Northern California.
"The first half of 2016 has seen good, steady decreases in overall vacancy. Hacienda has increased occupancy by about 1.2% since the beginning of the year" said James Paxson, Hacienda's general manager. "Positive activity has been seen in both our Office and Office/Flex products and our expectation is that we will see more of the same before the end of the year."
Several notable transactions occurred in the first half of 2016. Major commitments were made by companies in a variety of business segments, including: Convergint Technologies LLC (Business Services), Crosspoint Church (Community), Jabil (Business Services), Pulte (Development) Roche Molecular Systems (Biomedical), Sensiba San Filippo LLP (Financial Services) and Zeltiq Aesthetics (Biomedical).
A number of large construction projects are currently in progress in Hacienda. Work is under way on improvements for the Rosewood Commons facility related to new tenants arriving at that site and office construction is continuing on the new Roche Molecular Systems building at their campus off Stoneridge Drive. In addition, Hacienda has several residential projects currently under construction. Summerhill Homes is building 94 quality condominium units and two projects from Essex will bring over 500 new units of premium rental living to Hacienda.
