PLEASANTON, Calif. — Hacienda is reporting over 435,000 square feet of transactions for the year as of the close of the third quarter with more activity expected before the end of 2019. Net absorption year-to-date over the close of 2018 remains positive. The park is the largest mixed-use development of its kind in Northern California.
"We remain encouraged by the activity we have seen so far this year. Hacienda's overall vacancy rate is just slightly below what was seen at the end of 2018. Furthermore, like 2018, 2019 has been a good year for new investment in Hacienda" said James Paxson, Hacienda's general manager. "Over 315,000 sf of buildings on five properties have come under new ownership since the beginning of the year. With these acquisitions have come not only new tenants but substantial improvements to properties that produce highly desirable contemporary work environments and amenities. It is this type of continued investment, along with upgrades in public and private infrastructure, that allow Hacienda to retain its value as a premier place to work and live."
Several significant transactions occurred during the Third Quarter. Major leases and acquisitions were initiated by companies in a variety of business segments, including: CloudFabrix Software inc., Stanford Orthopedic Surgery Clinic, ValleyCare Physicians Associates and the Northern California District Council of Laborers. Current major project work in Hacienda includes campus improvements for Kaiser Permanente, Henzel Phelps Construction, Omron Robotics and Safety Technologies and the Rosewood Commons complex.
