PLEASANTON, Calif. — Hacienda saw another year of strong growth in 2016. Over 648,000 sf of tenant activity occurred in Hacienda last year along with new project approvals, and construction activity on a new office building and three new residential communities. Net space absorption totaled over 260,000 square feet. The park is the largest mixed-use development of its kind in Northern California.

"In less than twenty-four months Hacienda saw net absorption of over half a million square feet" says James Paxson, Hacienda's general manager. "Hacienda is close to occupying, on net, nearly 7.5 million square feet of space. This is the highest amount occupied in the development's history. Going forward, we will be both building new product and occupying additional space before the end of this year."

Major transactions in 2016 were seen by companies in a variety of business segments, including Pulte (residential development), Orchard Supply Hardware (retail), Purigen (biomedical), Ellie Mae (financial) (expansion), Employee Benefit Specialists (benefit administration) (relocation & expansion), and Crosspoint Church (religious).
