PLEASANTON, Calif. — Hacienda is reporting over 110,000 square feet of transactions for the year as of the close of the third quarter with more activity expected before the end of 2020. Net absorption year-to-date over the close of 2019 remains positive. The park is the largest mixed-use development of its kind in Northern California.
“We remain encouraged by the activity we have seen so far this year given the extraordinary circumstances confronting our businesses and economy as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic and related response measures. Hacienda's overall occupancy rate remains slightly above the rate seen at the end of 2019” notes James Paxson, Hacienda’s general manager. “While the pace of activity has slowed considerably, we are still seeing active interest in the development and have some good prospects for new tenant arrivals before the end of the year. Investment in properties is also continuing with a number of sites actively involved in tenant improvements.”
Several significant transactions occurred during the third quarter. Leases were initiated by companies in a variety of business segments, including: Stanford Health Care - ValleyCare (Healthcare), PetersenDean (Energy), Altamont Winds, LLC (Energy) and Lennar Title (Real Estate).
While no new development projects are currently under construction, projects are proceeding at existing buildings with more in the planning stages. Currently, major tenant and site improvement work is occurring at several locations including: 4225 Hacienda Drive, 4750 Willow Road, 5890 Owens Drive and 5672 Stoneridge Drive.
